Angeline Quinto has admitted to being in love following a controversial tweet that had fans in a tizzy.
The tweet, which was posted on Jan. 26 read: "Ganito ba ang feeling ng inlove?? Nakuru naman. Patay tayo dyan. Ikaw nalang palagi ang naiisip ko.pasaway ka e."
Not a few followers were quick to ask Quinto about the identity of her supposed love but the 23 -year old was seemingly not too eager to spill the beans maintaining her silence over the matter until her appearance on "The Buzz" Sunday.
Apparently, Quinto is indeed in love but not with a person but with a thing, specifically a BMW5, which, she told "The Buzz" co-host Charlene Gonzales-Muhlach, she had been eyeing for some time already.
"Dito lang 'yan malapit sa ABS-CBN nakikita ko sa parking lot," she said.
But prior to her admission, Quinto titillated fans further by refusing to answer the question outright.
"In love? In love po talaga ako ngayon sa...medyo imported po ito," said she to shrieks among studio audiences.
Gonzales-Muhlach went on to prod the singer by asking if she meant Filipino-American Sam Milby, her co-star in the teleserye "Kahit Konting Pagtingin" but Quinto quipped, "Hindi naman po tao...BMW X5."
The "Star Power: Search For The Next Female Pop Superstar" champ explained that she has been wanting to buy the vehicle but for her ongoing work on her dream house.
"Siguro sa susunod ...hindi naman po ngayon agad-agad. Ipon-ipon muna ulit," she said.
In the same interview, Quinto clarified the meaning behind several emotional tweets she posted successively on Jan. 21, including "Pag patay na ba ang isang tao nasasaktan pa rin?"
Prior to the tweet, which received mixed reactions from fans, Quinto also posted: "Ang hirap magpaliwanag sa taong hndi ka maintindihan:("
Another post read: "Sabi nga ng nanay ko walang ibang makakatulong sayo kundi ang sarili mo."
Quinto admitted that she is dealing with some "personal" problem due to a certain person whom she refused to identify.
"Hindi po talaga akong plastik na tao. Inaamin ko may mga pinagdaananan po talaga ako nu'ng mga nakaraang linggo. Medyo personal po siya," she stammered.
"Ayoko lang muna po sabihin kung sino 'yun, tungkol po sa trabaho ko eh," she added explaining, "Siguro po hindi pa po talaga ako handa sa buhay showbiz...[nakakalungkot lang po kasi na] may ilang mga tao po siguro talagang hindi ako maintindihan...[na] kahit gaano palang kabutihan ipakita mo sa ibang tao may mga tao pa rin palang may masasabi pa rin sa 'yo."
Asked how she is dealing with it, Quinto replied, "Sinasarili ko lang po...alam kung ako lang din makakalutas sa problema ko eh, at Diyos lang ang kasama ko palagi."
